Portsea Island. I for one had never heard of it until I started to explore the sea-locked island with Portsmouth at its heart.

 

My intent is to reveal Portsea as I travel along the 15-mile coast through Southsea resort, tidal flats, and port.

 

I want to reveal the diversity of Islanders at leisure and work – sometimes their dynamism and humour; sometimes their modest prosperity; sometimes their respected wounded and fallen sailors.
