Just beyond the limits of your vision, young Cacti, Succulents and Sundew flora hide a common secret: a riot of shape, skin texture, and tone.  

 

My intent is to explore the hidden visual world of these dramatic, more pointed varieties. Some are selected for their sharpness; some for their gentler points; most are less than the length of your little finger.

 

My darker monochrome rendering is sympathetic to sculpt their contours and the mood I want to create. I wish my subjects to emerge from a blurry darker place into natural light to reveal their form, secrets and beauty.
